I came across SoundBlaster Live fan site which suggested that you
could get multiple SBLive's running in the one PC, by using drivers for
a professional musician product that Creative Labs Make.

Given that SB Lives are four channel devices, you could get multi-zone
sound by writing a little DirectX player that sent a stereo signal to
only the front or rear speakers on a given card: so a typical PC with
Five PCI Slots becomes Network+Video+3 SBLive Values giving six zones
:)

Gentlemen, I am off to do some serious research. :)

Ian.
