I am planning to put mine in the loft when I get it, seems like the
best place from which to distribute the wiring. This is where my BT
master socket is and where I hope I can persuade BT to install my
HomeHighway box!!

As far as I have read, (I have neither yet! ), both have quite a good
serial interface. The HV can be programmed to send and wait for
particular messages. I believe it would be possible to program it to
talk with Comfort, maybe with limited functionality.
The other alternative, as Mark pointed out is to use a PC running the
ACE software.
