I assume the hard drive is set to bootable using Fdisk?

Well I managed to transfer all 137Mb of /win98 using serial - took
all night.  Setup seemed to work fine, but the HD will not boot!

Before I started I booted the 486 from the Startup Floppy and
formatted and sys'd the HD.  This didn't boot either, I hoped setup
would fix it but it didn't.

When it boots a menu comes up (before config.sys is processed as far
as I can tell) asking if I want to boot from the HD or CD-Rom,
unfortunately it does not work when I select HD.

I am now considering installing Win3.11 first and then upgrading it!
This may also allow me to use the network to access the CD, but I
guess it will fail if it has to reboot?

I'll let you know if I have any success!
