Thanks Stuart, but I've just found that if I upgrade to Wingate 4.0 it has
a
free plug in available which will protect the server. Frankly I'm more than
happy with win2k, as Linux wouldn't be able to run half the applications I
need.

If you don't mind getting your hands dirty, there's always Linux.

There are various firewall solutions that come on a bootable floppy, so you
don't need to destroy your machine's existing OS to give it a try.
