Manually pick the components from the lists and manually connect them up.
you can manually enter a "rats Nest" showing the connections and
then use
the Auto router to place the tracks.

that is what I did prior to getting the pro version.

Importing the Netlist to ARES (Pro) is definately the best option though
because it picks the components for you and as you place them on the board
it draws a green line between pins that should be connected and puts yellow
arrows showing ideal placement position.

One day I would like to upgrade to a higher level as it also has "Auto
Placer."
With that you spend you days creating the schematic and deciding on the
board size, then place an components that MUST occupy a specific position
on the board, eg connectors, switches etc, invoke the auto placer and go
home. Next morning you hopefully have a fully populated and routed board.

As I said, Proteus is MY prefered choice, others may have different
packages they prefer.

The only other PCB packages I have used are "Pineapple PCB" on my
old BBC
computer, and a hookey version of EasyPC for DOS on a PC. I did try a demo
version of EasyPC for Windows but I didnt like it as much as Proteus and it
was much more expensive at the time. Dont know about now.

So with the shareware version what do I do once schematic is complete?
