Since when ????
I was forever going in lofts and I know of several sites where the entire
phone system is in the loft.
The Birds Eye Walls factory at Lowestoft has a loft so big it takes you 10
minutes to get from one end to the other and used a whole 200m reel of
cable to run one extension. I know....been there ...done that.
He must of been either
a Scared of the dark
b Scared of heights
and as for earlier comments about not using cables installed by the
customer...builders prewire houses and some offices with telephone cable
and provided it was the correct type of cable there is no reason not to use
it. We used to leave a reel of cable for the customer to conceal the wiring
if they were doing a refurb. Perhaps we were too helpful but its a lot
easier to just connect the ends of the cable than spend ages running the
stuff :-)

I wanted my HH routed cosmetically thru' the loft. BT engineers wont go in
lofts.
The compromise was to leave me the 30m of cable coiled and the HH box on
the
floor.
Relocated by me.
Steve.
