Thanks James.

The prototype SCART faceplate you saw was cut using a router and a homemade
jig.

As you saw I got the measurements slightly wrong for the area to be cutout
but the finish acheived was excellent. Actually producing the cutout with
the jig only takes a short while.

The company that I will be using for the PCB manufacture also offer a board
population service so I could get ready addembled PCB's, partner them with
a
routed out faceplate and put them in packaging to send out :-)

Tonight I will be etching 4 boards to prove the KAT5-AVS layout is correct
before sending the artwork to the manufacturer to get the first batch of
boards. Once I have those in production I will concentrate on the switcher
and faceplate modules.
