Is there a wired (10baseT ethernet) equivalent.

A TFT, touchscreen, device, running IE with an on-screen keyboard.

I'm coming under increasing pressure to install a flat screen monitor in
the
kitchen*, but am reluctant to do so: I spotted Honeywell's WebPad (not sure
if that's it's proper name) whilst browsing for central heating controls at
the weekend and this looks just the ticket. It's expensive, but seems a
fair
price. I couldn't find out too many technical details on it, so wondered if
anyone on the group has seen/bought/used on and could comment.

What I do know is it is a cordless touch screen flat panel, running Win CE,
with a radio link to a base station that has a LAN connection. What I'm
really curious about is whether the radio link uses legal UK frequencies,
whether it happens to be the same protocol as the new 10 megabit wireless
lans, and if not, whether it will interfere with them. Finally, the Psion
Netbook also looks good, but AFAIK does not have a wireless LAN link -
anyone know if I'm wrong?

*Top tip for how to be 'forced' into buying a flat screen - have quite a
nice trendy kitchen. Come up with a killer wife friendly app (my success
was
not a searchable recipe database as expected, but an online browsable photo
album and HotMail access). Install the grubbiest nastiest 14" monitor
in
said kitchen with said killer app and leave wife to play. The only catches
are you need to install the monitor whilst wife is out so she can't stop
you, and install it in such a manner it can't easily be removed on a whim
[like running it's cables through a brick wall ;-)]
