Woo Hoo!!! Glad to hear it Graham, it was a bit perplexing why that LED
wouldn't work...

What sort of range do you get from the receiver/transmitter for various
equipment? Try it with lights on and off, particularly fluorescent or
energy-saving ones!

Maybe you could send me the 2 problem LEDs sometime and I'll try to figure
out what was up with them? Hope it wasn't too frustrating for a first
venture into electronics- best of luck if you get round to building the
mitedu.freeserve.co.uk one.

I'll try to update the IR web pages soon (and the wiring one too), but I'm
changing jobs next week, so things are a little busy! I may also be
checking mail less often in future, so if there are more discussions here
on my IR stuff, be patient, I will try to catch up! But as I've mentioned
to Mark, it does mean you can all happily discuss X10 and wireless stuff
unhindered (and I won't even mention L***x for now) :-)

(There won't be any changes to the web addresses etc, but if anyone still
has my email address as nigel.orr@xxxxxxx, now would be a good time to
change it to the above.)

Nigel
