I was "considering" this only when HomeSeer Phone is up and
running as my
answering machine, as Comfort is currently providing this functionality.
Line 1 is my only published phone number, and all incoming voice calls are
on that line, so until an alternative answering (IVR) system is available,
I
need to leave Comfort on that line. Having said that, for reasons noted
below, I would ideally want to leave Comfort where it is, and just disable
its answering & voicemail features
The other problem is that if I move Comfort, I also move ALL the internal
phones to the other line, as they are fed from Comfort's Tel Out terminals
(as per the recommendations). Obviously I could fiddle with it all and
re-patch it so that Comfort is on line 2, and the phones stay on line 1,
but
only by taking the internal phones off of comfort, and putting them
straight
to line 1 - then I lose the ability to
a) sign in to Comfort from any internal phone,
b) have Comfort ring internal phones when the doorbell rings
All in all not ideal! - it really is best when configured as intended with
Comfort 1st on the line, and internal phones on Comfort...
Ho hum...
