I installed my PR511 X10 Security light out the back of the house.
Excellent
stuff. I also put my MS13E at the front door. Now I have X10 logging of all
movement around the perimiter :-) I just need some of those guard towers
that were in 'The Great Escape', and am watching Home & Leisure in case
a
programme comes up about how to make some.
I also put in some CAT5 between HAL under the stairs and my main PC up in
the study. I managed to get this done with the assistance of my Wife :-)
She
was very resourceful and got some kitchen tongs to drag the cable though
the
gap under the stairs. The main PC upstairs has web access and using Vsocks
I
now have web acces from the TV-PC downstairs.
My next project is to interface the doorbell to X10. I have an RF doorbell
with the ringer plugging in to the mains. Anyone go tany ideas as to how to
send an X10 signal when the doorbell is pressed. I have a powerflash module
but the wireless door bell may no longer be wireless if i go that route.
Any
ideas greatly appreciated.

Michael
BELFAST
