Why reinvent the wheel? IIS's security is pretty good, and your firewall
ought to prevent unauthorised users even seeing IIS.

Wrong. ASP can trickle the page back to the user, or send it back in one
chunk. It's controlled by a parameter on the ASP page. Trickle does impose
some restrictions though.

If you know VB, ASP is really easy. Plus VB has about 3 different ways of
interfacing with IIS which gives you plenty of choice on the
security/performance/ease of writing front.
