You should however provide a means of isolation so you can change the
bulb.  That should be something like a switch or removable fuse, not an X10
controller, or light sensor.  It could be the MCB or fuse, but it's better
to have it near to the light fitting- it could be a lightswitch, a secret
switch, or even an FCU.

Offhand, I can't think of a reason that connecting it to an X10 switch
would kill the motion detector (which isn't to say that it's not
possible!)- it might not work if it doesn't draw enough current for the
switch to work properly though?
