What version of Windows will you be using this I/O card on? I ask because
NT and 2000 will require a device driver for you to access the ports. If
using one of these OS's, make sure it comes with a driver for NT and/or
2000.

Will you write your own program to inform HS of the status of each input?
Or will HS support reading from an I/O address?

If you can write your own program, and need to support NT or 2000, you
might
want to consider one of the I/O devices that talks over a serial port.
This
will not require drivers for NT and 2000. Of course, now you need a free
serial port.

Just some ideas.

Dan
