YES!!!! I saw one of these modded players in action to a 55" plasma
screen
and it looked FAN-F**KING-TASTIC. As Andy just said, it was at the DVD
Europe conference, and the DVD it was playing was one he'd knocked up
himself on his DVDR. It did look GREAT though.

Only very high end equipment has the SDI inputs though, as it is largely
a broadcast end standard, not a user end. However he said he was in talks
with Pioneer to get it to work with their plasma flatscreens (which
connected
to a normal DVD player and sat next to this thing looked AWFUL).

Selling a modded pioneer 626 for =A31500. Check out www.function.uk.com,
don't know if there's anything there but that's the domain of the
company selling the modded players.

I've got the email address of the bloke aswell, if anyone wants it drop me
an email direct.

Oh, one other thing, the studios took him to court claiming that he was
circumventing copyright and he won.
