Unfortunately, in the room I am considering this for, I don't have any
ceiling roses on the light fittings, both fittings have a base which screws
directly through the ceiling into the joist above. One is also in the
middle
of a big old ornate plaster ceiling moulding.

The only wiring that actually comes through the ceiling into the room is
the
single switched T&E from the switch, the junction box being up in the
ceiling void.
