HCPL-3700 is a mains to logic level chip, but I don't think your employers
sell it
:-)

IIRC, Farnell and RS both do though.

It needs a couple of components added, but there are detailed data sheets
on the web.

Even easier, just fit a relay with a mains coil and use the contacts.
