Why not just use the DOS command FTP.

Call the command ftp -s mick.txt

mick.txt contains
o 192.0.0.1
user
pass
put c:\mydate\sample.txt /usr/mydir/sample.txt

All done. All you need is to rename you file each day, you could use
VBscript.

I need to transfer a file from a windows 95 machine to a unix box across
the
company wide area network every night. Ideally there would also be the
ability to change the filename each time to include an incremental number
or
time stamp. Can anyone suggest a suitable piece of free/shareware ?

Regards

Graham
