Hi,
I have a similar configuration that has been working fine for a
while. I used IR not RF, for the simple reason I already had IR
repeaters in most rooms. So I just take the IR keyboard to a room and
can use it as normal. It has the added advantage that you can also
use universal IR remotes to control your PC (I use a Pronto, and a
cheap learning one), so even if I don't have the keyboard then I can
still control basic stuff (winamp). I also wrote a quick and dirty
app (still very very early in development) as an X10 frontend to
winamp. Most rooms have tabletop X10 transmitters, so they can choose
music using them. The PC also has a TV card in that I plan on
connecting outdoor cameras to (front door etc...)
Cheers
Phil
