Pace Owners Now With New EPG Software

At a minimum Pace owners should now have received a new software drop which
introduces:

New Box Office Ordering System
Digital Subtitling
A-Z EPG Listings
Our information section will contain further details on how the New Box
Office Ordering System functions as well as the A-Z listings on the EPG.

Digital Subtitles
As mentioned above, this update also introduced the Digital Subtitling
feature. Whilst Digital Subtitles are very nice on the eye and seem to
work
well, Sky have seemed to make them difficult to switch on and off. In
order for this feature to be enabled viewers must enter the System Setup
menu under the Services Button. From here the 'Subtitled' option must be
set to 'ON' under the 'Languages and Subtitled' option.

What's annoying about this is that from that moment on, everything is shown
with subtitles. The only way (that digiNEWS has found) to remove the
subtitles again is to go back to the 'Languages and Subtitles' option and
set 'Subtitles' back to 'OFF'.

Another change included in this software drop that some users have
experience (and certainly the digiNEWS Pace Digibox has demonstrated this)
is that the Signal Meter bars now show an increase in Signal Strength and
Quality. digiNEWS would suggest that readers dont' read too much into
this.

Hi All,

Have Sky done a software upgrade overnight?

We left our Digibox on 160 BBC Choice last night and this morning it was on
998 the info channel.

What is really wierd is that direct selection of channels no longer works.
Pressing any of the 0-9 buttons on the handset pops up the litle blue box
with the first digit but after less than a second it disappears again. The
only way to get channels is from the TV guide or by the channel up/down
buttons.

I tried a power reset and re-downloading the software but it is still the
same. Anyone else having a problem?

Keith
