300PCs with the controls 300m away?  Where's this, a prison or
something?  Isn't there an easier way?

A network with dumb workstations would probably do all you need (I was only
half-joking about XFree86), but if you've already got the 300PCs, that
would be costly too.  And if you're using all of them at once, that could
be a lot of bandwidth
