That's what I thought... just checking I was right- last time I had any
real knowledge of Nicam was after reading about it in the Maplin magazine
when it came out, which I think was a few years ago now...

I hope the you missed out the K (or is it k) unintentionally... standard CD
quality is 44100x16x2 bps, so Nicam is squeezed to 1/2 of that (ish), 728
Kbps.
