I'm slowly getting to grips with this Homeseer voice engine, I've now
managed to get a WAV as my attention & ignore acknowledgements rather
than a
TTS phrase.
However, I have another question that I hope someone can assist me with...
I use the VR in "always listen" mode with attention and ignore
phrases...
(SFSG...)
However, the normal behaviour is that once the attention phrase is spoken
(and recognised) Homeseer begins listening for commands, and CONTINUES to
listen for commands until such time as the ignore phrase is spoken
(right?).
This can be slightly problematic if a misrecognition causes Homeseer to
begin listening...
So, What I'd like to do is set it so that when the "Attention"
phrase is
spoken, HS only listens until a command is recognised, once the first voice
command is recognised, I'd like it to go back to "Ignore" mode
WITHOUT me
having to speak the ignore phrase. - I think this behaviour is more
familiar
to most people, and closer to natural speech interaction.
Also, once HS is listening, I'd like it to time out and go back to
"ignore"
mode if no voice command is heard in a certain time period, - about 30
seconds or so...
So the sequence would be something like:
Me: "Attention Phrase"
HS: "Attention Ack. phrase" (or WAV file!)
HS: Starts 30 second timer
Me: "some valid voice command"
HS: Executes the above voice command
HS: Goes back to ignore mode automatically because command was recognised
HS: Timer doesn't need to be left to expire, so is stopped.
OR, if no voice command is issued (maybe the attention phrase was a
misrecognition?)
Me: "Attention Phrase" (or maybe some ambient noise was mistaken
for the
attention phrase)
HS: "Attention Ack. phrase" (or WAV file!)
HS: Starts 30 second timer
...
... nothing happens... (or maybe voice input is NOT recognised...)
... During this 30 second period, I can retry voice commands until 1 is
recognised,
... or, I can speak the ignore phrase.
...
HS: Timer expires after 30 seconds
HS: Goes back to ignore mode automatically
Could this be done with the check_vcmd script? - Any suggestions on where
to
start?
TIA
Paul G.
