The company I work for use and installed
the
http://www.atmltd.co.uk/ stuff, and
find it works very well. After making home brew switchers and video capture
hook-ups in the past - I would choose ATM option any day. As for
recording,
I would still recommend a Time-lapse VCR (even though its analogue!)
for
recording purposes. It can be left recording away in up to 960 Hour mode
until a
sensor/home automation controller detects something worth recording at
which
time the VCR can be tripped into real time mode to capture high quality
images
for a pre-set time. We sell both the ATM gear & time-lapse VCR's
at
very low prices due to our buying power. e.g. 24 Hour Time-lapse £298 + VAT
/
960 Hour £449 + VAT
