I've never seen a domestic kettle which can do this, only the Burco boiler
type things, which are considerably larger than a "normal"
kettle. The only
thing I've ever thought of, (but don't take this as a suggestion, 'cos it's
wildly unadvisable!!) is to override the local thermostat (read: selotape
the switch in the "on" postion), and then time how long it takes
your kettle
to boil, then use a timer on the controlled outlet to ensure it goes on for
that amount of time only. Then if you go back to bed for X hours, just
resend the sequence when you decide to finally get up... (of course, that
gives you no feedback about whether there's still any water in your kettle,
'cos if you're in the habit going back to bed lots of times, it might boil
dry....

Also, don't tell your insurance company!.... ;-)
