Put an 'intermediate' switch between S1 and S2, otherwise known as DPCO or
DPDT, so you either have

a-- s1 X s2 --b
\ /
\----------o---o-------------/
(normal operation) Or
/----------o o-------------\
/ \ / \
a-- s1 X s2 --b
\ / \ /
\----------o o-------------/
(switched)(note, the 'X' is not a wire junction! If it was, the light
would always be on!)
You can repeat as needed for n-way switching
