I'm guessing that many people on the list will be aware of the GNU Free
Software Federation, but I saw a few of programs on their that may be of
interest to members of this list...
The URL is http://www.fsf.org and the
packages are
phantom.home : A program to control external devices through the paralel
port, comes complete with circuit diagram.
Cyber Radio : A client/server app for live internet audio broadcasts.
VNC : Free remote control software ala PCAnywhere & ControlIT (I use
this at work, and it's very good)
Most of the software is for Unix, but you can run Unix on any old PC,
and with most implementations of Linux being free that shouldn't be a
problem...
