Re: Audio Video --> Composite (and cheap mobilephones!)

It should. IIRC, the problem is that one country uses a 6MHz sound
carrier, the other uses 5.5MHz, so if you separate the sound and video to
composite video and plain audio there should be no problems. Some TV's can
be converted fairly easily to the different sound carrier (change of
crystal)- ask the manufacturer if it's possible, or have a look at
http://www.hut.fi/Misc/Electronics
or http://www.repairfaq.org for
more
details.

On a similarly not-quite HA note, but may be useful, certainly for
Comfort-owners...=20

Boots have currently got a buy one get one free offer on mobile phones, and
Orange Just Talk now has no fixed monthly/yearly charges and cheaper call
costs- just the thing for His&Hers control of Comfort or whatever...
offer
runs till 16th November, but you might need to start arriving at the shop
early each morning as they seem to be selling rather fast... not surprising
at =A370 for 2 Just Talk phones with =A35 calls on each!

Nigel (now on Orange, no other connections with the companies named ;-) )
