It might be worth looking at Keith Doxey's great documentation of our
cabling job a few weeks ago.
It shows the tape colour code system he used to mark my cables and gives a
description of where each cable runs to.

Briefly...we wired CAT5 for phones, data, CCTV, curtain control and even
ran
one to every light switch in the house for a possible future low voltage
lighting system (a la Lutron etc). The more I think of it the more there
is
to do but where do you stop? I hope to get some wires into the AV room
ceiling for a projector (if I win the lottery!). As a guide here's what's
been used - 2.2 Kilometres of CAT5, 600 Metres of speaker wire, 1.3
Kilometres of 8 core screened Alarm cable (for Comfort Alarm) and 500
metres
of CT100 TV/Satellite Coax.
