I am in the process of working with Advanced Home Automation to install the
following X10 Pro kit
4 Wall switch dimmers LW10U
1 IR to X10 interface IR7243E
4 Universal modules UM7206E (3 drape masters, plus a door latch)
1 Active Home CK11U
Trevor (at AHA) has been advised by Home Control plc (the UK distributors
of
X10Pro) that the wall switch dimmers will work with low voltage halogens up
to a total load of 300W per switch. We are both slightly dubious about
this.
My original intention was to replace the low voltage units with the new
240V
halogens from Osram, but obviously if this is unnecessary the there is a
big
cost saving!
Any thoughts?
Tim.

I am not aware of the operational characteristics of the international
devices. However I copied this to our Technical VP, and here is his
response.
"The operative word here is Dimmer. The LW10U is a dimmer and as such
cannot
control low voltage lights."
