I chased up uk control (Richard Letts) as promised, and got the
following reply ;-) I've replied saying uk.comp.home-automation is my
preference.

I have a note in status that the rfd was posted, but don't see it on the
news server. I think that I've goofed up.

My apologies.

I rhink that I started posting it and then realised that it was
creating a dangling hariarcy (uk.comp.home.*) I'd like to suggest
uk.comp.home-automation or uk.tech.home-automation as more suitable
names
for the group. if eother of these is acceptable (pick one) please let me
know and I'll post your RFD
