Digibox trick with X-10.

Here's a little something that I encountered that may be of interest to
Digibox users...

I have an Amstrad Sky Digital receiver (although I asked for Panasonic).
Since these boxes (not just the Amstrad, to be fair) have a habit of
locking-up, I thought it would be a good idea to connect it to an AM12U
appliance module so that I could turn it off and on again from the remote
control.

When I connected it up, I noticed an interesting effect. I turn it off from
the remote control and a few seconds later, it comes back on all by itself!
I presume this is because it's triggering the local control of the module.

So, if you want to be able to turn the box off (and leave it off) using an
AM12U, be aware that it may not. However, if you want to be able to reset a
stuck box it may perform this neat little trick.

Don't know if it'll work the same way with other manufacturers (or even
other Amstrad boxes) but it works for me.
