Are people using the 'HA' PC for other things other than HA? I don't
see the need for a monitor on it.

My own solution was to use a separate PC for the HA tasks and only use
the TV out option. It is in the loft with no monitor, just attached via
a modulator to the TV distribution amp. I used a basic ATI card with TV
out. Not the all singing and dancing wonder just the cheap one, as it
doesn't have to be very quick. I am very pleased with the results, just
make the fonts a little larger and it is nice and readable. It also
plays full movies well, which I was suprised at for a low spec card.

For the serious configuration work I use my normal PC with remote
control software on it so I can take control of the HA PC. Works pretty
well but a little sluggish. You can use pcANYWHERE if it's just
windoze, or VNC if it's a mixture of windoze and unix.

pcANYWHERE costs money but VNC is free!
