New in: Butler Model 80 12v d.c. Curtain Motor - £78.55 + VAT

http://www.comfort.org.uk/products/index.html
  (click 'Curtains' in margin)

* Motorize Any drape with U shaped loop cord
* User adjustable auto stops: fully open, fully closed.
* Powerful motor controls curtains up to 60 lbs.
* Works with curtains, vertical blinds and many horizontals and shades

This curtain controller now makes motorised curtain control affordable and
without the need to install proprietry curtain rails. Control of this unit
is simple - apply power and it moves from the current position to one limit
position. Remove and re-apply power and it will reverse and move to the
opposite limit. Remove power at any intermediate point and it will stop.
Installation is easy - simply hang the unit at the bottom of the U loop of
the drape pull cord. Attach adjustable wall bracket and plug AC adapter
into
an X10 Appliance Module. No cutting of the pull cord is required. Works
with
both cord and ball chain type pulls. Use with an A/C timer or X10 Appliance
Modules (not included) for remote control or automatic timed operation.
12V PSU Included.
