a) It is charged at standard rates for calling a mobile (same as
dialling an Orange phone)...
b) Sadly not our choice....the commercial agreements signed between the
operators for SMS Interconnect effectively stated that messages could
only be exchanged between networks if they were originated from another
networks subscribers handset...therefore anything originating from a
web service/automatcially generated by a computer/news etc should not
be allowed to be sent from one network to another (though in practice
ther are loopholes to this and not all the networks are abiding by this
(Orange are). (I cannot expand on this-sorry!).
