Hi
Just read some of the messages about SMS Notification via Comfort...... Not
well
publicised, but we (Orange) do actually run a direct text input service
for
SMS.... telephone number is 0973 100602. If you dial this with a standard
terminal programme (Windows Hyperterminal will do) then you press S to send
a
message, type in the mobile number hit return, then the text, hit return,
then
the text will arrive instantly as an SMS....then press E to end the
call.....
Not sure of the capabilities of HomeVision/Comfort (yet!!)...but if they
have an
RS232 port, presumably it wouldn't be too difficult to connect it up to a
modem..then all you need to do is send the following to the port :
atdt0973100602 <CR>
S <CR>
Your Text Here <CR>
E <CR>
Please note, this facility will only work to Orange mobile phones (we may
open
it up to other networks at some point next year....!)
Cheers
James
