a message (which is probably about the same as using the dialup modem
thingy).
I think I have the ultimate solution - a mobile permanently connected
to my server. Not only can it send me SMS messages, but I can send it
SMS messages to control my house. I also find it more reliable than the
dial up service.
Hardware is an old Ericsson GS18. Software is homebrew under Linux.
