Thanks- I'm looking for some just now- what manufacturers cable do they
sell? Is there a difference?

>Maplin sell the stuff as well.

Their prices seem pretty good for 1000ft- shame I only need about 300, and
that's about twice the cost per metre...

I've asked the same question on sci.electronics.design, but am I sensible
in planning to use solid UTP (as opposed to stranded and/or shielded) for
various connections- I'm told composite video should be OK down UTP, and
there'll also be analogue (for now!) audio.

Anyone used Maplin ("Drake Technologies") cable in critical
applications-
I'm not needing very high performance at the moment, but I'd like some
future proofing...

Anything particular to look for? Is the velocity factor an issue?
