RE: CD/DVD Storage

I haven't paid much attention to email since I moved in - the only place
I can connect to the wireless network at the moment is in a corner of
the bedroom. I'm actually quite enjoying speaking to people on the phone
and face to face, so I'm not in a desperate hurry to get it sorted!

It is spooky that you mention this. I spent three hours filming (3
minutes of finished footage, but it was still all done in one take!)
briefing John Revell to build some custom CD and DVD storage for his new
H&L series "John's Workshop" - he actually made it three months ago and
installed it yesterday too but these things are shot out of sequence.
I've got two units roughly a metre square by 200mm deep, with adjustable
shelves but each can take up to 600CDs or 300ish DVDs (haven't quite
filled a shelf yet so it is only a guesstimate!). He actually used 10mm
toughened glass for the shelves which cost around 150 quid for 4, but
the wood cost next to nothing (some cherry veneered mdf, and some cherry
facing too).

I'll take some photos later and upload them. If you want to see how they
are made though, you'll have to wait until February!
