To answer all your q's
I'll post a picture in the next few days. Thanks for the offer
John -
I've got a camera myself. At the moment time's against me.
We're wanting to move into the house in a few weeks, but there's a few
months of work left!!! That's why I haven't been to see you recently
:o(
I have about 15 PIRs in stock, and I'm ordering some more very soon -
so
there should be plenty to go round!!!!
BTW, I didn't want to come over on this newsgroup as someone who is
trying
to sell things. I just wanted to share some info with you all, and if
you
wanted any PIRs, well I sell them and have them in stock. Only thing
is I
gave Phil a 'special price' - I think I might have done them too
cheap!!!
But what the heck, were all friends - £29.95 + VAT
Phil, have you any 'independent' comments on the PIR???
Also, my address:
Ecolume Lighting Ltd
Heathfield, Long Causeway
Denholme
Bradford
West Yorkshire
BD15 7DU
These PIRs are excellent, however they're not the total answer to the
'holy
grail' of true occupancy detection. They will tell you if a room is
occupied with (slightly) active person/people but I'm not sure if they
would
trigger if you fell asleep on the sofa watching TV - I think I'd be scared
if I
woke up cold and in the dark! :o) They're probably as good as we're
going
to get as far as reliability/cost in the near future.
A while ago there was a thread about more sophisticated occupancy
detection
and detecting the number of people in a room. Did anyone go any
further
and get it to work???
Regards
Simon
