Been
playing with the one I have here today too ... I stuck the one I have
through a
hole in the loo ceiling as I'm cutting holes there for halogens anyway and
had
similar results to you. Seems sensitive enough to trigger repeatedly whilst
reading the CPC catalogue in the bath!

I've just tested one of the 12V occupancy PIRs that I've mentioned in
a
recent thread. Connected it directly to HomeVision's Port B and it
works
without connecting the PIR's open collector output to a voltage via a
resistor. HomeVision's Port B already has +5V via 2.2k resistor built
in
- so everything is kept nice and simple!
The PIR is very sensitive :o)
Once it's been on for a few minutes and stabilises, it detects
brilliantly. Very pleased with the performance, and also relieved
since
I'm relying on these PIRs for automating lighting and heating and other
occupancy related stuff.
