yesterday:
I have done a little bit of digging
for
you and it seems that the Bush set top box is a RISC based machine, that
has
been stripped down, so from a hardware perspective you should be able to
'add'
the bits that were 'removed'.
From a software side there are two
possibilities I can think of. Apparently if you hold the shift key
when
powering up then you can get to the command line prompt, then typing Basic
gets
you in to the old BBC Basic OS !!! From here
you
could have a look around and see what can be modified to stop the ISP being
dialled, instead adding your network params.
The second option is the unit will boot from a 100Mb Zip
drive connected to the parallel port -
theoretically
at least you could add your own or other commercial software to run from
here.

certainly be interested in the knowing the progress &
results.
