RE: [1/2 OT] LAN

You explained it far more elegantly then I could.  This is exactly what I am trying to do.  Anyone know of any software that will do this or will I have to move Homeseer??

Cheers

Pedro

P.S.  Thanks for all the game info - I will be busy over the weekend ;-)

Ah, I read it right now - you cannot connect to an ICS client from the internet since it is given a local IP address (192.168.0.xxx).  You may be able to get software that performs port mapping to map incoming requests to the ICS server to local clients (but I don't know of any).

You can connect locally to the HA pc using the http//servername syntax, but you will not directly be able to access this from outside your LAN without some other software/hardware.

-Dan

Subject: [ukha_d] [1/2 OT] LAN

Hi all

I have just finished installing my home LAN and would like to try some multiplayer games over it.  I don't want to have to use the internet so any suggestions for good multiplayer games which can be played over a LAN would be great.....

Another thing:  I have ICS sharing enabled on one PC and am using Homeseer on the other (HA) PC; how do I connect to the web browser on the HA PC???  Fixed IP on the HA PC but dynamic on the other.

Cheers

Pedro de Oliveira
