Pc temperature sensors are available:

Kit number 3145 - Computer Temperature Data Logger

 

(Go to the menu on the left of the main screen and then down to computer projects, from there it is about 2/3rds of the way down)

 

I use this kit to monitor temperatures around the house. - It  can take up to 4 sensors and will plug into your PCs serial port.
