Controlling wooden venetian blinds...

I'd like to automate my wooden blinds -
thing is they dont have the rotating control to close them. It has a string
pull for both the open/close and lift.

Has anyone already done this ?
Homesser/Sunset/X10 seems to be a good combo ! The curtain control on
letsautoate seem to only work with the rotating control.
