Hi Keith -

Yes that's my unit, and I think you have hit the nail on the head.
There are no resistors on the SCART, so I guess that could be it.

I don't claim to be a soldering expert, but I did manage to chip my
Xbox a while back (and that was a bit hairy!). The solder points on
the Kat5 look a bit larger, so not so much an issue (I hope!)

Also there is a Maplin down the road if I need to get something.

Let me know what I need to do and I'll give it a go!
