kat5-users group:

The InfraRed upgrades for existing KAT5
units will shortly be available.
Fitting the units involves fixing an
additional circuit to the inside of the
case lid (2 screws), drilling a hole in
the end panel, and soldering 14 wires
to existing holes in the PCB. Please
indicate your capabilities for fitting
the upgrades yourself.

o I dont even know which end of a soldering iron to hold, I would like the
upgrade to be fitted for me.
o I have done some soldering but would feel more comfortable if someone
else performed the upgrade.
o I am confident in my soldering abilities and I am happy to fit my own
upgrade boards.
o I am willing to fit upgrades for other people.  (Please email your
details to upgrade.fitting@xxxxxxx )
