Apart from the "developing your PHP skills" bit, I'd still say
not a
problem. Chris can set up an ODBC connection (apparently) to a MySQL
database so you could access it from ASP.
Of course, if you use ADO like I do then ODBC is a step backwards :-)

I've gone for the ASP option but not yet had a chance to do anything
with it. It is always nice to learn something new, though I'd be
concerned that if I started doing PHP, then perl is only a step away and
b4 u know it, you've converted to the dark side :-)

LOL, I wasn't thinking of that!
Now you mention it though, on the IR Return front, will this include
everything you need - ie emitters and receivers, or just the electronics
said things plug in to them?
The reason I ask is I wouldn't want to bite the bullet (and give Ken the
satisfaction!) of buying those Xantech Receiver jobbies to circumvent
Tivo IR control issues I have, only to find I don't need them once your
IR modules turn up.
