That was my second attempt at replying. POP3 is currently blocked at
work so I was using a web front end and lost everything I typed :-(
I forgot to include....
If Linn are wiring the sockets a proprietry way then all signal
transmission will be over properly paired cable but WILL NOT be
useable for anything else.
... as I said before, this is a big mistake in my opinion. My point
was that a Linn product plugged into standard CAT5 would be using
split pairs.
There are many other products available from all the big players in
AV such as Extron as well as newer companies like AVStar. ALL of
these use STANDARD CAT5 wiring pinouts. It is foolish to use anything
else.
